Langtang Kyanjin Gompa Trek

Overview

Langtang is located north of the Kathmandu Valley. The route goes through traditional and ethnic villages. This trek shows the contrast between the Hindu culture of the Kathmandu Valley and the Buddhist culture to the immediate north of Kathmandu. The highlights of this tour contains the visit to Langtang Valley, Kyanjin Gompa (monastery) and the Lirung Glacier. One can also climb the Langsisa Peak and visit the Gosainkunda Lake.
 
The Langtang valley also called the valley of glaciers. This valley offers pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow-capped peaks, grassy downs and meadows strewn with daisies and wild premolar.

Trip Details

Day 01 - Arrive KATHMANDU

The beautiful view of snow-capped Himalayan range greets your sight. The No Name Travel and Treks Airport Representative will meet you at the airport and take you to our hotel. After arrival to hotel, you will have short briefing and final payment procedures.

Day 02 - Kathmandu Sightseeing

Sightseeing of Kathmandu including Pashupatinath Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square and afternoon you may excursion around Swoyambhunath Stupa too.

Day 03 - By Bus to Syabru Bensi (1462m)

By bus (or Private Vehicle) to Syabru Bensi *1462 meters). Our way passing via Trishuli Bazzar, Dhunche too.

Day 04 - Trek to Bamboo (2145 meters)

Long hour drive of yesterday in to the riverbank Syabru Bensi, whole night rest and then early morning after breakfast we start our trek trails winds up and down through the forest to Bamboo (2145 meters)

Day 05 - Trek to Lama Hotel (2804 meters)

Day 06 - Trek to Langtang valley (3520 meters)

From here a short climb brings us to a pass to the right of where the Langtang valley begins to the Langtang Village (3520 meters).

Day 07 - Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3825 meters)

Todays trail leads us thru the large village of Langtang before ascending a ridge dotted with tiny villages. As the valley widens, we climb up through yak pastures to Kyanjin Gompa (3825 meters).

Day 08 - Kyanjin Gompa acclimataization day

During this day we may hike Kyanjin Ri (4756m) and walk to Tserko Ri (...m) for superb Himalayan scenery including Langtang Lirung, Yala peak, Naya khanga, Ganesh Himal, Tibetan Himalaya range etc and back to Kyanjin gompa.

Day 09 - Trek back to Ghoda Tabela ( 3048 meters)

After breakfast, trekking via same route ie langtang and other to Ghoda Tabela ( 3048 meters) . Ghoda mean Horse and Tabela means Stable.

Day 10 - Trek to Syabru village /Gaun (2581 meters)

Day 11 - Trek end to Dhunche ( 1966 meters)

It is our last day of trekking to Langtang area. we just arrive Dhunche Bazzar (1966 meters) and cleanup our self and happy dinner. prepare our baggages for tomorrows Bus drive to Kathmandu.

Day 12 - Drive back to Kathmandu.

From Dhunche drive back to Kathmandu by bus or private vehicle.

Day 13 - Sightseeing of Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square.

Day 14 - Departure from Kathmandu

Departure from Kathmandu. Independent Himalayan Adventure's Airport representative will drop you all to Kathmandu "Tribhuvan International Airport" for onward destination.
